Doug is an Integrative & Functional Nutritionist and Registered Dietitian with over 18 years of counselling experience in medical nutrition therapy. He has an interest and passion in functional digestive health issues, such as: IBS, reflux, Celiac disease and IBD (Crohn and Colitis). He also has experience in weight management, diabetes, cholesterol, kidney disease, heart health, mental health, addictions and responsible use of nutritional supplements where indicated.
Doug is a co-author and contributing author on several health and recipe books, as well as, experience in writing for the public and professionals including newspaper columns, magazines, and professional publications, which have allowed him to hone his communication skills. This enables him to put the science of nutrition into everyday language so he can provide patients with easy-to-understand actionable tips and advice in order to improve their health.
